In the Danish Language, Vandre Means to “Wander.”

As an adventurous American college student, I set out on a journey that forever changed me and ultimately ignited a sense of wanderlust that has stuck with me to this day.

I enrolled in what was then known as Denmark’s International Study (DiS) Program. It was my first trip out of the United States… I spent that semester not only wandering the streets of Copenhagen and exploring the scenic towns that make up what many consider to be the happiest country in the world, but I also was fortunate enough to travel to many fascinating places across Eastern and Western Europe.

Travel was truly eye-opening for me, allowing me to immerse myself in new foreign geography, history, culture, gastronomy and languages… it was transformative to say the least.

Today, I continue to wander… although I now have a husband and son who join me on my journeys. Since that first trip abroad, I’ve had the privilege to criss-cross the world by land, air and sea many times over, visiting 63 countries on six continents and counting … each with their own special sense of place.

And now, I want to share my experiences and help you wander — or vandre — to places far and wide that I know will leave indelible memories that you and your family will cherish for a lifetime.

We've traveled to major cities, quaint towns, sprawling countrysides, national parks and other beautiful destinations in more than 60 countries around the world. Some of our favorite spots have been the terraced rice fields surrounding Ubud, Bali; the jaw-dropping views of Milford Sound in New Zealand; the floating villages outside Siem Reap, Cambodia; the Strøget in Copenhagen; the beaches of Rio de Janeiro; and the savannah plains of South Africa.
